Together with co-director Stephen Byrne, John founded Orca Financial in 2004 to provide a first-class service in financial planning. His main focus is on helping clients managing their financial affairs, ensuring that clients have everything in place to meet their current and future financial needs and expectations.

Before establishing Orca Financial, John spent almost 20 years in Senior Management positions in Norwich Union, Prudential and Irish Life. At Permanent TSB, John was their Nationwide Pensions Sales Development Manager.

John holds an honours MBA from the UCD Smurfit Business School, and is currently studying to obtain his SIA accreditation, which is the professional certificate in Asset Management.

Co-director and co-founder, Stephen Byrne has 15 years’ experience in Commercial/Residential Property and Lending. Stephen works mostly with individual clients who are looking to achieve alternative senior debt solutions via private funding for new projects.

Having completed his third level education in Trinity College Dublin in 1999, Stephen and worked in the B2B/E-commerce sector. His passion for property led to a gradual shift into the residential/commercial market. By 2006 Stephen personally managed in excess of €60 million in assets.

Sarah is a qualified Tax and Financial Advisor with over 15 years’ experience in the Financial Services Sector, with one of the major life companies. Sarah joined Orca Financial in 2005, bringing with her a wealth of experience in Life Insurance, Retirement Funding, Inheritance Tax Insurance, Tax Planning and Investment Advice.

Sarah’s role at Orca Financial is creating, managing and implementing comprehensive financial plans that make the most of each client’s individual resources.

Louise has 15 years’ experience in the industry. Having started her career in Banking in EBS, Louise moved to Zurich Life in 2000, and spent five years there, gaining valuable experience in insurance, before moving to the Broker Market. And she joined the Orca Financial team as Operations Manager in 2012.

Louise is a qualified Advisor (QFA & Pensions Diploma), and has a vast knowledge of Life and Pensions. She has built up an excellent relationship with all our clients, and her friendly, easy manner is an integral part of our business.

gerryGerry O’Toole

Gerry’s career started back in 1979 with Marsh McLennan/Mercer, specialising in Financial Planning for individuals and companies.Over the years he has built up an expertise in designing personal portfolios for clients by identifying needs and recommending solutions that match the individual’s circumstances.

Gerry also became accomplished on technical matters such as Keyman Insurance and Company Directors Insurance. While later in his career he specialised in designing and implementing Group Pension Schemes in conjunction with employers and trustees.Gerry joined ORCA in 2013 bringing over 30 years’ experience to our company.

Keith has 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, here in Ireland and in the UK. He has worked in Broker Consultant roles for both Canada Life and Aviva. In 2005 Keith joined MBL Financial Services as a Financial Broker, and in 2013 joined Orca, taking over a portfolio of private and corporate clients.

At Orca, Keith provides advice on all aspects of personal financial planning, with a particular emphasis on Retirement Planning and Estate Planning. He works closely with his clients to understand their goals, aspirations and what they want the rest of their lives to look like. Together with his clients, he works out the cost of their current and future lifestyle, and helps them create a roadmap to financial independence and peace of mind.

In 2002 Keith became a Qualified Financial Advisor. In 2014 he undertook the Professional Diploma in Retirement Planning Advice, passing with flying colours, earning the prestigious RPA designation. Keith is currently studying for his SIA accreditation which is the professional certificate in Asset Management.
